KitTrail

KitTrail — a personal app discovery assistant for Mac.

Finding the right macOS apps isn't always easy. You end up browsing recommendations, comparing different tools, and trying to figure out which ones are actually worth installing.

KitTrail makes that process easier. You choose what you want to do or improve on your Mac, and KitTrail helps you find apps that fit your needs.

What KitTrail can do:

• Recommend apps based on your tasks and preferences.
• Take already installed apps and built-in macOS features into account.
• Explain why particular apps are recommended.
• Help you compare alternatives.
• Put together a personalized installation plan.
• Install selected apps only after your approval.
• Save your app selections for later.

KitTrail isn't just for setting up a new Mac. You can use it on a Mac you already work with to discover useful apps or find alternatives to the ones you have.

Compatibility: macOS, Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

All features are included with every license. Updates within version 1.x are free.
